About Me:

My name is Marielle “Mars” Bardon and I am fashion designer, musician, and artist based in Austin Texas. I have been sewing for the past 19 years and I will be receiving an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Fashion Design in the summer of 2025. I have a passion for creating and for sustainability, so one of my favorite things to do is to up-cycle. The majority of my garments are made with thrifted fabrics and notions to reduce fabric waste. In the interest of sustainability, I have also learned how to repair and tailor garments so they can continue to be worn and loved.

“Threads from Mars” is a slow fashion brand that strives for sustainability, inclusivity, and alternative fashion aesthetics. Our goal is to create well made, sustainably crafted, everyday wear that is affordable and makes a statement. We specialize in alternative designs, up-cycled garments, and creative repairs.

Products and Services:

“Threads from Mars” creates one of a kind upcycled garments and accessories from thrifted and recycled materials, and/or the donations of used clothing we receive. We also create custom garments per request and offer creative repairs for worn out garments. All donations go towards any purchases.
